Changelog
Everything notable that’s changed in Luggage for Android and iOS, newest first.
v6.4.0
LatestSeptember 10, 2026- New: Ghostrunner — the map now runs ahead of the game. Type a few directions in quick succession and a glowing trail traces from where you are to where you'll end up, drawn before the game has confirmed a single one of them. A hollow ring marks the far end; your usual marker stays on where you actually are. The trail shortens as the game catches up and vanishes once it has, so it's only ever there while you're genuinely ahead of it. Two things it's good for: seeing round a corner before you've been moved there, so the next direction can go sooner — and running a long way across a city while reading something else, still knowing where you'll come to rest. It works the same whether you type directions yourself or tap out a speedwalk, and it never sends anything to the game; it reads the map and shows you where your own input leads.
- Ghostrunner is honest about being a guess. If a guard, a shut door or a room the map doesn't know puts you somewhere else, the trail flashes amber and collapses back to where you actually are, then carries on from there — it flashes rather than correcting quietly so you can see that it noticed. Stretches where the map only inferred a connection rather than recording one are drawn fainter.
- The minimap draws back to keep the trail in view as your queue grows, and returns to normal once you've caught up. It won't zoom out forever: a run across Ankh-Morpork is a hundred rooms, and fitting all of it would leave nothing legible at either end — so past a point the framing holds and a small arrow pins to the edge showing which way the trail went. A trail crossing onto a different area map runs to the edge and marks the crossing, then picks up on the new map when it loads.
- Settings → Display → Ghostrunner turns it off, or restyles it: a colour, a thickness, a glow, and a switch for the travelling dashes. Turning the glow to zero gives a plain line, which is worth trying if the bloom looks busy on a small minimap. On by default — it only appears when you're ahead of the game, so it can't get in the way of anyone who never queues movement.
- Fix (security): session logs no longer record your password. Logging starts the moment you connect, so the login exchange went into the file along with everything else — and a password is typed at a prompt like any other command, so it sat there in plain text. Both it and the character name you enter at the login prompt now read “[redacted]”. It works from the game's own prompts, so changing your password mid-session is covered too. On by default; Settings → Session Logging can turn it off, and warns you if you do.
- Any log recorded before this still has your password in it. Settings → Session Logging → View Session Logs will delete them, and says so when you clear the lot. Worth knowing the moment it matters is when you attach a log to a bug report — nobody reads a thousand lines before sending one.
- Fix: “View Session Logs” did nothing on iPhone and iPad. The button closed the settings sheet and no list appeared — the log browser had only ever been built for Android, and there was nothing on the other side for iOS to show. There's now one browser for both. Tap a log to read it without leaving Luggage, or share it out; HTML logs are shown with their formatting stripped, so use Share when you want the colours.
- Fix: the screen dim no longer locks the screen while you're typing. Its idle clock only ever watched for touches, and a phone keyboard produces none — the text goes to the app by another route entirely. So the tap that opened the keyboard was the last thing on record, and a long tell could be written from beginning to end while the app counted you as idle. Now the command box holding the keyboard suspends the countdown, so stopping mid-message to think about the next word is safe, and the wait starts again when you put the keyboard away rather than from whenever you last touched the glass. Typing on a hardware keyboard counts too.
- Settings → Help and the website documentation both cover Ghostrunner, and the screen dim pages no longer claim that only touching the screen counts as activity.
v6.3.0
September 4, 2026- Text-to-speech: you now choose what gets read as three separate switches rather than one list of four positions. Chat, room descriptions, and other game text are each on their own, so “room names while I walk, nothing else” and “chat only, but not my own tells” are both possible — neither was before. Your existing setting carries over as the nearest equivalent, so nothing changes until you touch it.
- Speech can now read just the room’s name as you arrive, instead of the whole description. Enough to follow a route or notice a wrong turn without listening to the scenery at every step. The name comes from the game itself rather than being picked out of the text, so it is exact and lands the moment you do.
- Fix: reading room descriptions aloud used to mean “read whatever arrived in the same network packet”, which was wrong twice over. Anything the game happened to send alongside — someone arriving, a round of combat, your prompt — was read out as though it were scenery; and a description long enough to arrive in two pieces had its second half silently dropped. Luggage now follows the description itself, from the room name to the obvious exits line, however the network chops it up.
- Speech has speed, pitch and a voice you can pick, with a “Hear it” button to judge by ear. Speed is the one that matters: it was fixed at normal before, and anyone actually reading a MUD by ear runs well above that — at normal speed speech falls behind a busy fight and never catches up. The voice list shows whatever your device has installed.
- Chat rules each have a “Read aloud” switch, separate from being enabled at all — a rule can be worth keeping in the chat log without being worth hearing. Your own outgoing tells are switched off already: they belong in the log, but having them read back a second after you typed them is nobody’s idea of reading your chat aloud. Everything else is unchanged, including any rules you’ve written yourself, and you can turn any of it back on.
- Speech no longer falls behind. Long passages are broken into sentences before they are spoken, so muting cuts the current sentence rather than the next thirty seconds, and a new setting drops a line identical to the one just spoken — a MUD repeats itself freely, and out loud each repeat costs its full length. On Android there was also a counting bug that could mute speech permanently: one utterance the engine dropped without saying so was enough to convince Luggage the queue was full for the rest of the session.
- The speech mute button is remembered between sessions. Mute at bedtime and the app is still quiet in the morning; it used to start talking again on every launch.
- Settings → Help and the website documentation both cover all of the above, and the chat capture page no longer claims Luggage ships rules for says and shouts — those were removed some versions ago for being mostly NPC noise.
- The send button and history arrows can move to the other side of the command box. Settings → Controls → Command Bar flips them to the left, which is easier reaching if you hold the phone in your left hand. The whole bar mirrors, so send stays the outermost control on whichever side it sits.
- Settings → Help gained a Screen Dim & Keep Awake page, and the Themes & display documentation on the website covers it too.
- New: the screen can dim and lock itself when you haven't touched it for a while, the way games with long idle stretches do. Set it in Settings → Display: how long to wait, and how dark it goes. Off by default. It isn't just a tint — while it's up nothing underneath responds, so a thumb resting on the phone can't fire a quick command or a wheel slot at your character mid-fight. Slide the handle to carry on. There's also a keep-the-screen-awake toggle for reading long stretches without the phone nodding off; it holds the display on, nothing more, so your character still idles out on the Disc exactly as it always did.
- The hotspot bar also has its own opacity and background colour, again separate from the timer overlay's. The background list starts with None, which drops the panel entirely and leaves the timers sitting straight on the game text — opacity still applies to them, so they can be as present or as faint as you like.
- The hotspot bar can be resized, and can show as many hotspots as you like. Settings → Hotspot Bar now has its own Size, Width and Rows Shown, separate from the timer overlay's — so shrinking one no longer shrinks the other. Size scales the whole box together: the text, the colour dots, the gaps and the padding all come down as one, rather than leaving small text rattling around in full-size rows. Rows Shown goes from one to twelve, or drag it past the end for no cap at all and every hotspot on the bar at once. Handy if you track a lot of them and would rather see them all small than five of them large.
- Settings → Help has been brought up to date, and gained a Hotspots page. The quick command help now covers flick actions, per-button colours, sizes and icons; the radial wheel help covers slot actions, per-wheel size and gesture distance, and per-slot colours; and the trigger help lists every action a trigger can run rather than roughly half of them, including Show/Hide UI. It matches the documentation on the website, so the two no longer disagree.
- Fix: a hard sausage mission is no longer recorded as the easy one. Sam Slager pays out with the same line whichever version you took, so Luggage works out which is which from his original request and remembers it until you deliver. It was forgetting the moment your connection dropped — and since you get four hours to deliver, that happens often on a phone — so on handing the sausages in it no longer knew, and assumed easy. It now remembers through a reconnect and through the app closing entirely. If it genuinely didn't catch which one you took, it says so and starts no cooldown, rather than guessing and putting the wrong mission on the clock.
- Fix: the job market re-apply cooldown no longer gets shorter than it should be. Each resignation lengthens the wait before you can apply again, and Luggage was forgetting how many you'd made whenever you disconnected — so after a reconnect it counted from scratch and told you the market was ready early. The count now carries across sessions.
- New: Hotspots — named timers for the things you keep coming back to. A hotspot is a clock with a rule for when it starts over: you enter a particular room, you leave one, a line of text appears, a pattern matches, or it simply counts down from a set number of minutes. The first four count up, answering "how long since I last saw this" — which is what you actually want for a herb patch or a postbox whose timing you can't see directly. Open them from the menu under Hotspots. Tap a row to restart its clock, long press to edit it. Room-based ones don't ask you to know anything technical: walk to the spot and press "use where I am now". Each hotspot can also sit on a floating bar over your game output, dragged wherever suits you, where the clock turns amber as it approaches and red once it's ready, so a glance lands on whatever needs you rather than making you read every line. Set a reminder to be told when one comes due — by message, sound, vibration, flash, or spoken aloud. Hotspots never send anything to the game; they only tell you when something is worth doing. Ported from the hotspot timers in Quow's CowBar for MUSHclient, with all five of its reset types.
- Settings → Hotspot Bar can put your mission cooldowns on that same floating bar, so there's one place to look instead of two. They stay read-only there — the Missions panel still owns them — and only missions actually on cooldown take up a row, since a mission that's ready doesn't need a clock. Off by default.
- Show/Hide UI trigger actions can now target hotspots, by name or by group, alongside quick commands, wheels and buttons. Pair it with a location trigger and your gathering hotspots can clear themselves off the bar when you leave the countryside and come back when you return. Hiding one only takes it off the bar — it keeps running, and stays in the Hotspots panel.
- Fix: curly quotes and dashes no longer reach other players as gibberish. Phone keyboards quietly swap a typed apostrophe for a typographic one, and players on older clients were seeing that arrive as "â" followed by nothing — so "I'll be there" read as "Iâll be there" on their screen. Luggage now folds curly quotes, dashes and ellipses to their plain typewriter equivalents on the way out, so everyone reads what you meant no matter what client they run. Accented letters are deliberately left alone, since flattening those would mangle names.
- Fix: characters occasionally arriving as a black diamond or a blank box. Text from the MUD is read in whatever size pieces the network hands over, and an accented letter or symbol that happened to land on the boundary between two pieces was being destroyed rather than reassembled. Rarer characters also now survive coming from players whose own client speaks an older encoding, instead of turning into a placeholder.
v6.2.0
August 17, 2026- Quick Commands: a floating button can now carry eight more commands, one per flick direction. Press the button, slide your finger off any edge or corner and let go — that direction fires instead of the button's own command. Set them up in the command editor, under "Show as floating button" → Flick Actions: each of the eight opens the same full action block the button itself has, so a flick can send to the MUD, drop text into the input field, show a local message (triggers still see it), start a timer, vibrate and flash. You don't have to use all eight, and there's no penalty for not doing so — aim is shared out between the directions you've actually set, so four of them still means a quarter of the circle each, exactly as if the other four didn't exist. A configured direction draws a small chevron on that edge or corner, so the button advertises what it has without being opened; while your finger is out there the chevron brightens and a label names what will fire, and on release the label ghosts away in that direction so you can see which one ran. Slide back onto the button before letting go to cancel — worth knowing when the button's own command is something like kill. Buttons with no flicks set behave exactly as before, gesture included: a swipe across one still scrolls the game output underneath. Auto-hide after use deliberately doesn't apply to flicks, so flicking won't retire a button.
- Fix: trigger highlights set to "Entire Line" now recolour the whole line, including text the MUD has already coloured. Before, the line colour only took on characters the game had left uncoloured — on most Discworld lines that is just the punctuation, so a highlight on "[Someone enters Discworld]" tinted the brackets and nothing else, and the feature looked broken. Setting a background colour always worked and still does; "Matched Text" highlights were unaffected throughout.
- Radial Wheels: a slot can now do everything a button can, not just send a command. Each cell in the wheel editor has an Actions button opening the same block a quick command uses — send to the MUD, put the text in the input field instead, show a local message (triggers still see it), start a timer, vibrate, flash — and any combination of them fires when you flick that direction. Until now a slot could only send a MUD command, so things like "flick west to start my heal timer and buzz" meant keeping a floating button around for it. The grid shows what each slot does at a glance: a cell with extra actions labels them under its colour dots. Slots you already have are untouched and still just send their command; a slot with no command but, say, a timer now counts as active and lights its dot on the guide, where before an empty command meant a dead direction.
- Quick Commands: floating buttons can now be coloured one by one. Open a command, turn on "Show as floating button", and the overlay section gains Button Color and Text Color pickers with a live preview of the finished button. Both start on "Default", which keeps following the global colour in Settings → Controls → Quick Command Buttons, so your existing buttons look exactly as they did — colour only the few you want to pick out at a glance. Setting a text colour also tints a game icon on that button, so an icon-and-label button reads as one piece; emoji icons keep their own colours.
- Radial Wheels: direction slots can now be coloured one by one too. Each slot's cell in the wheel editor has "Slot" and "Text" dots — tap either for a palette. The slot colour drives that direction's dot and its press highlight on the gesture guide (and the slot's tile background in controller mode); the text colour drives its guide label. Both default to inheriting the wheel's own colour and the standard label colour, so untouched wheels are unchanged. Handy for making one direction — a bolt-hole exit, say — unmistakable mid-fight.
- Wiki: you can now pick which wiki the panel browses. The settings gear in the wiki title bar has a new Wiki row offering the Discworld Wiki (dwwiki.mooo.com, still the default) or dwmud.fyi, a community site that mirrors the same articles in its own reader and adds research notes alongside them. Search and type-ahead suggestions work on either one, and your choice sticks between sessions. Saving a page for offline reading stays exclusive to the Discworld Wiki — dwmud.fyi assembles its pages in the browser, so a saved copy would come back empty; the bookmark button hides itself there rather than saving you a blank page. Pages you've already saved remain readable either way.
- Fix: Show/Hide UI trigger actions now take effect when the trigger is matched by a quick command's local message. Every other action on such a trigger already ran — commands, sounds, vibration, flash, speech, timers — but the show/hide part was silently skipped, so the trigger fired and nothing appeared or disappeared. Triggers matched against game output were unaffected and behave as before.
- Fix: the wiki panel could hand a link to your phone's browser instead of opening it in-panel after the panel's settings changed underneath it. Links now always follow the wiki you currently have selected.
- Radial wheels are no longer one-size-fits-all. Each wheel's editor now has its own Wheel Size (32–72dp) and Gesture Distance, both with a "Default" that keeps following the global setting in Settings → Controls. Gesture Distance moves the guide ring in or out — and, importantly, the flick travels with it: the ring used to be pure decoration drawn at 80dp while a direction actually fired about a third of the way out, with nothing to show you where. Now the ring is where the gesture lives, and the editor tells you the exact distance ("Flick 16dp to fire"). Existing wheels are untouched: at the default settings the numbers work out to exactly what they were.
- Radial wheel slot labels: leaving a label empty still falls back to the direction name (n, ne, s…), but typing a space now shows no label at all — just the dot. Previously a space was treated as empty and you got the direction name anyway. A blanked slot is marked "no label" in the editor, since a space is invisible in the field.
- Quick command buttons can each set their own size too, in the same place as their colours. The pill sizes itself to its contents, so one number scales the label, the icon and the button; the preview in the editor resizes as you go, and "Default" hands it back to the global text size.
- New game font: Ubuntu Mono, in Settings → Display → Game Font, alongside the existing four. The Linux terminal classic — narrower than the others, so more of a long room description fits on a line. One thing to know before you switch: it's the only one of the five without half-block characters (▀ ▄ ▌ ▐) or arrows (← ↑ → ↓), which fall back to another font or show as empty boxes. Box-drawing and double-line frames are all present, so ordinary tables and maps look right.
- Floating buttons now line up with each other while you arrange them. Drag one and a dashed guide appears the moment its edge or centre matches another button's — top, middle, bottom, left, centre or right — and it snaps onto that line. Bring a button alongside another and it snaps to a set gap, so a row or column spaces itself evenly instead of by eye. Quick command buttons and action buttons align against each other, not just their own kind. Settings → Controls → Button Alignment turns it off or changes the gap (0–48dp, 8dp by default; 0 lets buttons sit flush). Anything that doesn't find a neighbour to line up with still settles on the usual grid.
- Fix: opening the keyboard no longer leaves the newest output hidden behind it. 6.1.0 aimed at this and fell short: that fix watched the keyboard's own height, which changes a moment before the layout that reacts to it, so the scroll it asked for was measured against the old, taller output area and did nothing — and the final frame of the keyboard sliding up produced no further change to react to, so nothing ever corrected the last of it. What you saw was output stuck behind the keyboard until the next line arrived and knocked it back into place. The output now follows its own height instead of the keyboard's, so it stays pinned as the keyboard opens, and rotating with the keyboard up goes through the same path. Scrolling up first still holds your place — opening the keyboard won't drag you down to the latest line.
- Fix: tapping the jump-to-latest arrow with the keyboard open no longer closes the keyboard on the way down. Everything layered over the game output shared this one cause: the output search bar dismissed the keyboard it had just opened for you, and tapping a floating quick command button or a radial wheel put the keyboard away mid-sentence. Only the game output itself dismisses the keyboard now — tap or drag the text as you always have.
- Android: the app now targets Android 16. Nothing changes in how it looks or works — Google Play requires apps to keep pace with recent Android releases to stay updatable, and this keeps Luggage eligible. One thing you may notice on Android 16 devices: swiping back to close a panel now draws the system's own back animation as you swipe, rather than closing the moment you let go. Which panel closes, and when, is unchanged.
v6.1.0
July 29, 2026- New: Klein Bottle helper (main menu → Klein Bottle) — a gauge for wizards carrying a Klein bottle. Look at your bottle and the panel reads the fullness line, showing which of the eleven bands you're in, its thaum range, the Int bonus it's worth, and whether it's still safe to capture: any size, anything except a substantial sphere, tiny specks only, or stop. Pick a horizontal bar or a vertical tube for the gauge. It also lists the distinct orb sizes floating in your current room with their capture sizes. Optionally echoes both the capture advice and orb sightings into your game output, so you don't need the panel open to read them. Purely observational — it watches output and never sends a command for you. The band survives an app restart, so the gauge isn't blank when you come back.
- New: Player Shops browser — a community-crowdsourced feed of player-run shops across the disc, contributed by users of the desktop Luggage plugin. Open it from the main menu (Inventory / Shop / Player Shops / Jobs). Browse by city, or search across every listed item worldwide (results sort cheapest-first across currencies via the plugin's "wibi" universal price). Each shop shows when it was last updated. Tap the walk button to speedwalk directly to a shop, or the map button to see it on the world map. Read-only for now — contributions still come from the desktop plugin.
- Fix: opening the keyboard while scrolled to the bottom of the game output no longer leaves the most recent lines hidden behind the keyboard. The scroll now tracks the keyboard as it slides up, so the last line you were reading stays visible.
- Fix: with "keep last command" enabled, the kept command is now visually selected after you send it — typing replaces it in one keystroke, and the highlight doubles as a visual acknowledgement that the command actually sent (useful when echo is off or you're queueing commands).
- Fix: with "keep last command" enabled, pressing the up arrow no longer wastes a press re-selecting the command that's already in the field. Up now moves straight to the actual previous command in your history.
- Fix: Settings panel is easier to dismiss on iPhone — an X button next to the "Settings" heading replaces the drag handle that used to hide behind the notch/Dynamic Island. Also, if the keyboard was up in the game view when you opened Settings, it no longer reappears a moment later and covers part of the panel.
- Android: the back button now closes the currently-open panel or dialog (Search, Settings, Wiki, Triggers, Aliases, edit dialogs, and the rest) instead of minimizing the app. When nothing is open on top of the game view, back still minimizes as usual.
v6.0.10 b161 → 6.0.12 b164
June 2, 2026- Added Diagnostics (Settings → Help → Diagnostics) over three quick builds. Reports platform, map subsystem, connection, bouncer, configuration, storage, network reachability, audio/TTS/haptics, permissions, and recent logs. Save as a .txt for Discord, copy to clipboard, or share via the system sheet. Developer Mode includes sensitive fields when you need them.
v6.0.9
May 30, 2026- Fix: a stale edit dialog could write the previous item's data onto the next one you opened — most visible on radial wheels, where one wheel's slot commands could overwrite another's. Now resolved across all the editor dialogs.
v6.0.8
May 26, 2026- New trigger action: Show/Hide UI. Drives Quick Command groups/items, Radial Wheel groups/items, and Action Button groups/items off and on as your triggers fire. Pair it with location triggers to e.g. unhide your combat buttons when you leave the bar and hide them again when you walk back in. The hide state persists across app restarts, and a Settings-level disable still wins (a Hide trigger can't force-show something you turned off in Settings).
- Settings → Privacy: new "Reset trigger visibility overrides" button wipes leftover hide-state. Useful if a UI element is stuck hidden after reconfiguring trigger targets (e.g. switching a Hide from By Group to By Name leaves the old group key in place — Reset clears it in one tap).
- Trigger Name and Pattern fields now strip newlines from pasted text. Previously a stray \n from a paste would silently break substring matching — the engine also sanitizes existing triggers at load time, so historical bad data fixes itself.
v6.0.6
May 23, 2026- Font picker: new default is Noto Sans Mono. Roboto Mono and Droid Sans Mono have been removed; if you'd picked one of them, you'll now see Noto Sans Mono. JetBrains Mono, Fira Mono, and IBM Plex Mono remain.
v6.0.5
May 12, 2026- Fix: "Clear game output on disconnect" toggle now actually behaves as documented. With the toggle off (default), dismissing the session summary leaves the disconnected session visible on the game screen so you can scroll back through it. Toggle on returns you to the home dashboard with the scrollback wiped. Previously the dismiss step cleared the scrollback regardless of toggle state.
v6.0.4
May 12, 2026- Pick your game font in Settings → Appearance. Five bundled monospace families: Roboto Mono (default), JetBrains Mono, Droid Sans Mono (the old Android classic), Fira Mono, and IBM Plex Mono. Each option previews itself in the picker.
- Disconnecting no longer wipes the scrollback by default — the previous session stays on screen for you to re-read. Settings → Privacy adds a new "Clear game output on disconnect" toggle if you'd rather have the older behavior (auto-flush + return to the home dashboard).
v6.0.3
May 12, 2026- Config pack export/import now captures the full settings surface — panel Hide toggles, vitals overlay sub-toggles, overlay locks, map marker styling, controller setting, toolbar shortcuts, command echo, registered player-name colours, and a dozen more. Existing pack files still import fine.
- iOS: game output is tighter now — empty paragraph rows that used to render at full line height on iPhone (and were invisible on Android) are skipped on both platforms, so scrollback packs more text into the same screen.
v6.0.2
May 11, 2026- Settings → Help has a new Luggage Bouncer entry at the top. Covers the hosted bouncer URL, registration, auth, backlog replay, and auto-reconnect.
- Orientation lock in Settings → Controls actually locks orientation now on both platforms — was a silent no-op before.
v6.0.1
May 10, 2026- Copy mode rebuilt — long-press a line, drag to select, refine via grab dots at each end, copy from a floating pill above the selection.
- Privacy: Disconnect (and typing quit in the MUD) now flushes the scrollback and returns you to the home dashboard.
- iOS: trigger sounds and Text-to-Speech now play through the silent switch.
- iOS: fixed crashes on config-pack export and on triggers with broken sound URIs. Wiki picture-in-picture overlay renders properly in compact mode.
- Bouncer mode: brighter reconnect markers, explicit bouncer-restart message, blank-line input works, hamburger menu populates correctly on reattach.
- Settings → Bouncer: URL field hints at the public bouncer when empty. New Clear Configuration… button next to Import / Export.
- iOS: Quit button hidden — use Disconnect instead.
- Jobs panel Hide checkbox now actually suppresses job output.
v6.0.0
May 8, 2026- This is the multiplatform release. Luggage now runs natively on iPhone alongside Android, with feature parity between them — same triggers, aliases, quick commands, radial wheel, vitals tracking, map data, session logs, settings, everything. Get the iOS build from TestFlight, then set up your bouncer under Settings → Bouncer to keep the session alive while your phone sleeps.
- Bouncer mode is active. Connection survives lock/unlock cycles, replays anything you missed, refreshes auth tokens silently during long sessions, and caps backlog replay so a long absence doesn't flood your scrollback. Forget Bouncer now also clears your registration on the server, not just on the device.
- Session logs on iPhone live under Files → On My iPhone → Luggage → session_logs/. HTML format with ANSI colors preserved, openable in Safari, AirDroppable. Same files, same format Android writes.
- Network stack rebuilt on Ktor — better TLS, cleaner reconnect, MCCP2 compression on both platforms. Same protocol on the wire, less code that can go wrong.
- Bouncer (v1.0 → v1.5): /deregister so Forget Bouncer is properly server-cleaned, dual-announcement ("Luggage Bouncer 1.x" + "Luggage 6.0.0") so the version line in-game is honest, and quieter rolling deploys via drain mode and config reload.
v5.7.5
May 2, 2026- GP recovery timer now uses your configured regen rate (Settings → Vitals Regen Simulation) for an accurate, stable countdown instead of estimating from observed GP changes.
- Customizable vitals overlay — toggle which items appear on the floating overlay (HP, GP, GP Regen, XP/Burden, Alignment, Session). Checkboxes appear in the XP Tracker panel below the overlay toggle when the overlay is enabled.
- Follow requests are now clickable — when someone sends a follow request, the "follow accept <name>" text appears as an underlined tappable link that sends the command for you.
- Follow action added to player context menu — tap a player name and select Follow to send "follow <name>" to the MUD.
v5.7.4
May 2, 2026- Wiki picture-in-picture overlay — browse the Discworld wiki in a floating, draggable window while playing. Supports fullscreen toggle, minimize to title bar, search with autocomplete, page saving, saved pages browsing, and adjustable size/opacity. Open from the wiki button in the game menu.
v5.7.3
May 2, 2026- Character-level text selection — long-press any line in game output to enter copy mode, then drag your finger to highlight exactly the text you want. Selection works across multiple lines with character precision.
- How to use: long-press a line to select it, drag to adjust the selection, then long-press again or tap Copy to copy. Tap Cancel to exit without copying.
v5.7.2
May 2, 2026- Player marker customization — configurable animation (static, pulse, flash, flash+pulse), dot color, outline ring color, and marker size. Settings available in the minimap settings panel and apply to all map views.
v5.7.1
May 2, 2026- Map quality improvements — fixed blurry/pixelated map rendering when zoomed in on large maps (e.g. Whole Disc). Improved minimap overlay zoom levels for overview maps so they show a useful area instead of an unreadable blur.
v5.7.0
May 1, 2026- Immersive Mode — new toggle in Settings → Display that hides the status bar and chat panel for maximum screen space. A floating menu button above the command input provides access to all features, with a connection status indicator dot.
v5.6.1
April 28, 2026- Fix luggage:// links not being tappable inside tell messages — links in tells are now detected and clickable like in other game output
v5.6.0
April 27, 2026- Location sharing via luggage:// links — share your current room or any map room with other players
- Sharing: open the fullscreen map and tap the location pin icon to copy a luggage:// link for your current room. Long-press any room on the map to select it, then tap the pin to share that room instead
- Receiving: luggage:// links in game text (e.g. from tells) appear as tappable links — tap to open the fullscreen map centered on that location with a magenta destination marker
- Share button also available on the sidebar/portrait map panel header
v5.5.0
